Bragging?

I remember when we were kids, I was taught by society not to brag. Bragging was too boastful and full of one's self, thereby being selfish . It was really hard too, because, being young I KNEW I was good at certain things. And I really wanted to tell everyone how wonderful I was. Well, thanks to dear old Dad, I got that opportunity. When we were at home we were aloud to brag. Dad would say, "You can brag. You are at home." It was nice to have an outlet where I could toot my own horn, because I really was good at some things.
